Honoring the Journey with Your Senior Pet
The bond you share with your senior pet is truly special. Our goal during senior years is to focus on quality of life, comfort, and proactive care to manage the changes that come with age.

As your lifelong veterinary partner, we aim to achieve comprehensive understanding of your pet's health history, allowing us to provide compassionate care to help them age gracefully and comfortably by your side.
Our Commitment to Senior Pets
Twice-Yearly Exams
Because pets age much faster than us, we recommend exams every six months for seniors. This allows us to catch and address age-related issues like arthritis, kidney disease, or heart conditions much earlier. At this stage, physical examinations are crucial for detecting subtle changes that may lead to the early recognition and treatment of disease.
Pain Management & Mobility
Arthritis and joint pain are very common in senior pets, and commonly unrecognized by caregivers, especially in cats due to their natural tendency to hide pain. We focus on recognizing any conditions that might be contributing to pain, and managing those conditions in order to keep your pet comfortable and active.
Our approach starts with evidence-based medicine as the foundation, supported by supplements and environmental modifications as needed.
Proactive Disease Screening
Routine bloodwork and urinalysis are vital for seniors. These tests help us screen for common age-related diseases like chronic kidney disease and thyroid issues, allowing for earlier intervention and more effective treatment.
We also offer affordable, non-invasive Nu.Q® cancer screening tests for senior dogs, as well as adult dogs of specific breeds that have a known predisposition to certain types of cancer.
Comprehensive Support for Their Final Years
Targeted Senior Nutrition
As pets age, their dietary needs change. We provide personalized nutritional counseling to support aging joints, maintain a healthy weight, manage chronic conditions, and ensure they get the right nutrients to feel their best.
Cognitive Health
Just like people, pets can experience cognitive changes. We can help you recognize the signs of Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS) and provide compassionate support, including strategies to manage anxiety and tips for environmental enrichment to keep their minds sharp and engaged.

Quality of Life & End-of-Life Care
Our most important goal is ensuring your pet's comfort and dignity throughout their life. We are here to support you with compassionate guidance when you need it most.
Palliative Care: For pets with terminal conditions, we provide practical and effective care focused on managing symptoms and prioritizing quality of life in their final days.
Quality of Life Assessments: We help you navigate difficult decisions with comprehensive assessments, combining our knowledge of your pet’s condition with a deep respect for your bond.
Respectful Guidance: Our team is here to provide all the information and support you need to make well-informed, respectful choices that are right for your pet and your family.
