Kevin Yun, D.V.M.
Dr. Kevin Yun graduated from Konkuk University, South Korea in 2013. After serving ROKA (Republic of Korea Army) for 2 years, he moved to Baton Rouge LA in participation of a 1-year Clinical Program at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon successful completion of the program he obtained the PAVE (The Program for the Assessment of Veterinary Education Equivalence) certification. He started his career as a small animal GP in 2016. Having lived in multiple different states on the east coast his family made a big decision to move to the evergreen state to get closer with family relatives. Dr. Yun purchased the clinic in 2022 and became a new owner of Mill Creek Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Yun is a well-rounded general practitioner with particular interests in ophthalmology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. When not working, he likes spending time with his wife Anna, 2 daughters, Evelyn and Eleanor, and his dog Lucy.
Michael A. Betts, D.V.M.
Dr. Michael Betts graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University in 1974. After graduation, he moved to Longview, Washington, and gained valuable experience working at two small animal practices in the area until 1976.
From there he moved to Seattle and was employed at three different practices as well as working in Alaska for a short time. In March 1982, Dr. Betts hung out his shingle and established Mill Creek Veterinary Hospital. As the owner, Mike has been a full-time small animal practitioner since then.
Dr. Betts enjoys all aspects of practice especially surgery and internal medicine. His other interests include boating, salmon fishing, camping, reading, and racquetball. He has 2 children, Kristy, a graduate of WSU with a B.S. in Psychology, and Tom who is currently enrolled in the College of Veterinary Medicine at WSU. Dr. Betts lives with his wife and daughter in Everett along with two cats (Kira and Manny) and the dogs (Tina, Chupe, and Paco).
Dr. Kathy Johnson
Dr. Kathy Johnson received her DVM from the Ohio State University in 1983. She completed her first year of veterinary college at WSU and has a BS from The Evergreen State College. She came “home” from Ohio in 1985, and part-time she does small animal relief work. She began working at Mill Creek Veterinary Hospital on a regular basis in 2002. Dr. Johnson enjoys the variety and challenge of a general practice.
Kristen
Kristen graduated from Washington State University in 2008 with a degree in psychology. Although she is pursuing a career in the mental health field, she has always had a love for animals and has worked as a veterinary assistant for several years. Kristen currently lives with her family in Everett and enjoys spending time with the families’ three dogs and two young cats.
Bonnie
Bonnie, one of our veterinary nurses, has always been passionate about caring for animals. Before working here, she volunteered at a cat rescue and also worked at a dog care facility. She loves spending time with her three children and their three dogs, two hamsters, and turtle. In her spare time, she enjoys thrift shopping and attending concerts.
